Broadcasting from the castle grounds, Lise makes a feast with food that creates the right mood. Get inspired! Start making a fantastic homemade loaf.

A loaf with a historical twist

We have to go back to the dissolution of the union in 1905 to find the origin of this loofah. Queen Maud brought the recipe from England.

An Italian classic

Veal and tuna sauce is an unusual combination, but it tastes fantastic. You prepare it almost entirely and then organize it yourself on the day. Serve for lunch or as an appetizer.

Tip: If you don’t have time to roast the veal, you can cheat and use ready-made roast beef.

Homemade burgers are a sure winner for young and old. There are two varieties with and without meat – and lots of tasty side dishes.

Naked cake

The party must have a cake with strawberries and cream. It’s called a naked cake because it’s simple and doesn’t have a lot of frosting or decorations to hide the layers.

Pavlova has gradually become a classic of the May 17 feast table. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with cream and berries. Varies by making small portions of pavlova.

National romantic finger food

Make waffles from boiled potatoes and serve with various toppings.

On the grill

Salmon and asparagus cook well on the grill. Salmon grills with good herb butter. Grill it whole, skin on, in foil. Asparagus gets a honey-mustard sauce and parmesan is sprinkled on top.

Two salads

The subtle red ingredients in the strawberry salad complement each other. Good with or without feta cheese. The cauliflower salad has almonds and pomegranate seeds, which provide a nice contrast.

Scrambled eggs and cured meat

Take your time and make a soft and creamy scrambled egg and it will be the star of the party.
